What a year it has been! This is a (not so) little collection of my favorite images for 2012. First, I’d love to say THANK YOU to all my wonderful, beautiful clients. I have loved working with every single one of you and my only wish is that we can continue this relationship of creating beautiful and timeless images together, for what I secretly hope will last a lifetime. I am so honored to be a part of your lives in such an intimate and artistic way and want to extend my deepest gratitude for allowing me to document your journey, at each precious stage. I always say, “at the end of the day, all we have is memories, and the pictures that breathe new life into them” and I thank you for making me a vital part of your memories.

Secondly…this blog was a doozy! I’d like to take this moment to go ahead and kick my self in the pants for not keeping up with my posting. I mean, come on! Really?! My whole business is aesthetics and I have the nerve to wait months and months to post basically an ENTIRE year of photos? That’s just senseless and I think I may have learned my lesson. Hopefully.

I wish I could have posted ALL of my sessions from this year (and more personal work too), but a lot of my year consisted of lots of Boudoir. I la la LOVE shooting boudoir, but that kinda pretty dreaminess, must remain a secret ;) Once I get the green light, I may have a couple images to share, we shall see!

Goodbye 2012, and hello 2013. You are looking quite lovely indeed.

All photos (except for 4, can you guess which ones?) were shot on beautiful, light-filled FILM and scanned and processed at the one and only, Richard Photo Lab.

Every Once In A While

…I do head shots.

I have had the pleasure of both photographing and doing makeup for the lovely Amanda Schull on a number of occasions and each time I always find my self a little bit (okay, a lot bit) baffled by her flawless beauty. She is such a talent and really just one of the funniest and classiest gals I know. I am excited for her new  roll on the hit show Suits and can’t wait to see her in action. The Hollywood Reporter just ran a little article on her upcoming roll and I am so grateful to have been able to capture these photos for her. It’s such a rare thing to be both beautiful on the inside as well as out, she truly is the whole package and deserves every amount of success that comes her way.

Wedding Shoes

…are the best kind.

I love how each of these shoes fit the bride’s that wore them, so perfectly…no pun intended.

It’s been a busy month and it’s not done yet, but I just HAD to post some recent images from this months weddings, and whats better than fabulous shoes?

Relishing

…those warm summer nights.

LOVED capturing this unconventional Boudoir session. Sometimes, the simplicity of a genuine (and in her case, gorgeous)smile and carefree spirit, is all you need to capture the beauty of a woman, don’t you agree?

Have a lovely and warm weekend and I’ll be back with the full post next week…for reals.

Orange You Glad

…she said yes?

ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage

A few months ago, the weather really started to warm up and I found myself in love with the idea of a romantic, backyard proposal. The air was balmy and the light, dreamy. I had just bought a beautiful batch of ranunculus and stalk at the Sunday farmers market and decided, today is a perfect day to create. One thing lead to another and before you knew it, I had my husband doing yard work and moving around furniture in our backyard (strange fact, but some reason he becomes very “weary” of my creative bursts and pretty much avoids me at all costs. I still can’t put my finger on why?)

I loved creating and dreaming of my newly named “European Engagement” as my thoughts became more of a story and felt it was only right that this romantic setting take place in some beautiful remote village in Spain or Italy or something like that. Anyhow, as so many “sneak peeks” on my blog, this post suffered the same treatment…I’ll get to it later. But, with wedding season in full swing and so much love to be captured over the next few months, I thought it would be quite fitting to kick it all off with a little inspiration.

Hope you have a wonderful week full of love, inspiration and daydreams.

Deeply

sorry for my absence.

This gal (uh, me, not the one above) has been hit with the busy season (which I truly LOOOOOVE). I do however, find it difficult to juggle photo world, with blog world, with mommy world and wifey world, so naturally blog worlds gonna take the back burner. On the plus side, I DO regularly update my Facebook fan page and have I ever mentioned I’m on Instagram (annmolenphoto)??? Look for me there as well!

I will be back to business in no time, with LOTTTTSS of prettiness for you, but until then, here’s one of my favorite photos, taken a few weeks back, from a really beautiful, pre-wedding boudoir session :)

It’s off to Vegas we go, so have a lovely weekend and I’ll be back next week with some more loveliness ;)

The Hidden

…gems of Etsy.

Lavender and Violet Honey and Lavendera Somniferum Tea rock my world

I have a serious addiction to a little shop called Etsy. Oh, have you heard of it? Of course you have, cause it’s only the greatest online shop, possibly in the world. Ya that’s right. THE WORLD. I have discovered some of the most fabulous gems on this site and could literally waste (more like gladly spend) my life away scouring the endless possibilities, that is Etsy.

Everyone once in a while, I stumble onto a too good to keep to myself shop and decide it must be documented, mostly because it’s just so photogenic. I can’t help but pop in a roll and shoot away. Remember this shower and the fabulous favors?

Enter Pixxxie Pie and Posie. My gypsy dream shop. It’s really just pure magic. The name alone is enough to intrigue. The products are to die for and have a way of transporting me to my happy place…which is somewhere around the turn of the century, in a gilded wagon, streamers in my hair and a bag of fairy dust, sipping tea and laying under the dusky sky…probably basking in some sort of incense-y perfume. Always a perfume ;) The packaging will have you questioning your creativity, make you feel ordinary and leave you wanting more. It’s just sooo beautiful and DETAILED.

So stop on by and browse this hidden gem. The teas and honeys are completely and utterly enchanted. You might even find yourself adding trinkets and creations into a cart you never knew you needed ;)
